About Roman Catholic Churches

Tradition

The Catholic Church is the oldest and largest Christian church, tracing its history to the apostles. It follows sacred scripture and sacred tradition, with the Pope as its spiritual leader.

What to Expect in Worship

Catholic worship centers on the Mass, which includes readings from scripture, a homily, the Eucharist (communion), and communal prayers. The liturgy follows a structured order.

Church Governance

The Catholic Church has a hierarchical structure: parishes are led by priests, who serve under bishops, archbishops, and ultimately the Pope in Rome.
