About Evangelical Lutheran Churches
Tradition
Lutheranism began with Martin Luther's Reformation in 1517. It emphasizes salvation by grace through faith, the authority of scripture, and the centrality of Christ in worship.
What to Expect in Worship
Lutheran services follow a liturgical structure with hymns, scripture readings, a sermon, and the sacraments of baptism and communion. Music has a rich tradition in Lutheranism.
Church Governance
